MANHATTANVILLE REZONING TASK FORCE
LDC RESOLUTION

Whereas, Columbia University has stated that they will only work with Community Board 9M as the official representative of the community, and

Whereas, The Charter of the City of New York does not explicitly permit Community Boards to enter into Community Benefit Agreements (CBA�s) and,

Whereas, A Local Development Corporation, with widespread Community
District 9 representations, should be formed for the purpose of entering into a CBA with Columbia University; now, therefore is it

Resolved, That Community Board 9M will sponsor and support the formation of a Local Development Corporation which will be the entity to negotiate such an agreement; now be it further

Resolved, That such Local Development Corporation shall be recognized by Community Board 9M as the sole entity to execute a Community Benefits Agreement with Columbia University on behalf of Community District 9.
