Pieces for Peace: Bringing the World to Hamilton Heights

New York Public Art Organization CITYarts kicks-off international art project that will inject new life into the community

Internationally renowned New York City artists Peter Sis and Lanie Lee conduct workshops with 60 students from PS 192M Elementary School to create tile-size paintings on the topic of peace to be included in the project

Background: CITYarts� Pieces for Peace Mosaic Project builds bridges of international understanding between NYC youth and their peers from around the world. Together, led by professional artists, they will design and create a mosaic on a 200 ft wall in Jacob H. Schiff Playground, Hamilton Heights as well as online. Additionally, a traveling exhibition of over 300 art works is planned to start at Flushing Town Hall in September.
