THE DEPARTMENT OF CITY PLANNING INVITES YOU TO AN IMPORTANT PUBLIC MEETING
REGARDING THE FRESH KILLS PARKLAND MASTER PLAN ON THURSDAY, JUNE 23RD.
Taking into consideration community input from several public design workshops over the last year, the Fresh Kills planning team has now developed the Preliminary Draft Master Plan, which is a major milestone in the City's commitment to transform the Fresh Kills site into parkland. This meeting is important to the process of imagining and projecting a new future for Fresh Kills. A presentation by the planning team's lead consultant, Field Operations, will show the designs and activities anticipated for the site and how Staten Islanders and other park users might experience this new landscape. We invite you to learn more about the Preliminary Draft Master Plan and share your thoughts on this bold transformation of Fresh Kills - from a landfill into a world class park.
When: Thursday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Where: P.S. 58 -- 77 Marsh Avenue, Staten Island
(Adjacent to the Staten Island Mall)
Light refreshments will be provided
Additional information on the meeting, including directions to the meeting venue, can be found at www.nyc.gov/freshkills.
Sponsored by the NYC Department of City Planning.
