Applications Available for 64 Affordable Rental Apartments in Highbridge in the Bronx

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has updated its web content concerning listings for apartments for rent.

Applications are available for 64 newly built rental apartments at 1510 Jesup Avenue in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. 52 of the apartments are set aside for households in which at least one member is 55 years of age or older. Some apartments are set aside for the physically disabled, which includes the visually impaired. The maximum annual income for one person is $22,000; for two people it is $25,100; for three people it is $28,250; and for four people it is $31,400. For more information, visit the HPD website at www.nyc.gov/hpd.

The City itself does not rent apartments, but works with real estate professionals and community sponsors who market them. You will need to contact them directly to fill out an application and enter it in the lottery. There are no broker fees and no application fees.

We suggest you look at HPD's apartment lists at least once a month.
