WE turn off appliances but every chain store and jeans boutique in Midtown, So-Ho and eastside and westside has its front doors wide open and blasts air conditioning out onto the sidewalk with impunity!
I am tired of paying the price in blackouts and brownouts for the wastefulness of rich multi-national corporations like Victoria's Secret & Radio Shack. It's time for NYC to get a serious energy conservation policy (besides telling the lowest income residents they can't run the fan!).
