The UFPJ Peace Zone NYC Campaign is pleased toannounce�
CouncilmemberRobert Jackson of District 7 will be introducing
the Peace Zone Resolution on
Wednesday, April 26th.

This resolution calls for the orderly and rapidwithdrawal of all U.S. military forces from Iraq and for the financial resources used to prosecutethe war to be redirected to the urgent needs of America�s great urban centers and the most vulnerableportions of our population.

Join us on Wednesday,
April 26th at 1 pm
on the steps of City Hall

for a press conference where Councilmember Robert Jackson will announce the introduction of the Peace Zoneresolution and deliver a proclamation naming Saturday, April 29th 2006,New York City Peace Zone Day, in honor of the March for Democracy, Peace,and Justice taking place in our wonderful city. We hope that everyone who possibly can, make plans now to come to the Press Conference on April 26th to help us publicize the Peace Zone Resolution and the April 29th March www.april29.org.

RIGHT NOW, we need your help to ask your Councilmember to be a sponsor of the PeaceZone Resolution so that, when it is introduced on April 26th, a majority of the City Council will be standing on the steps of City Hall with Robert Jackson and the
Peace ZoneCampaign.

After the NYC Peace Zone Resolution is introduced in City Council, the local NYC groups that make up the Peace Zone NYC Campaign will continue to need your help to make sure that it gets passed with broad support from all over NYC. Please become
