Deadline: Fiscal Year 2007 Borough Needs Grant applications will be accepted in the Manhattan Borough President's Office beginning April 3, 2006 up until May 19, 2006.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a not-for-profit, community-based organization or a designee to serve as a fiscal conduit with such status. Documentation of 501(c)(3) status is required with your application. The only city agencies in which the Borough President has been allocated funds for Borough Needs grants are: Department for the Aging, Department of Education, Department of Parks & Recreation, Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, and Department of Corrections. Any organization receiving a Borough Needs Grant will be required to enter into a contract with one of these managing city agencies.

Funding Range: Grants start at $3,000, but award amounts are subject to funding availability. Please note that all funding requests must be made for program development and implementation. Requests for general operating expenses are not encouraged.
