An upper Manhattan building super was killed Friday night in a shooting that also left a woman critically injured, police said.

The man, identified by neighbors as Willie Woods, 51, and the unidentified woman were shot in the super's building at 353 W. 115th St. in Morningside Heights about 10:45 p.m., cops said.

The victims were rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where Woods, who is known in the neighborhood as Spanky, was pronounced dead, cops said.

"Spanky is like a lamb," said a fellow building super on the block who identified himself only as Dennis. "It bothers me that Spanky would be shot by anyone."

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear. Cops were continuing to investigate early this morning.
