NYC Selected To Receive $200,000 EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant
On May 11, New York City was awarded a $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency brownfield assessment grant to examine potential environmental contamination at brownfield sites throughout the City. The money will allow the City to investigate potential contamination resulting from activities such as former industrial operations and illegal dumping. Brownfields are properties where the actual or suspected presence of contamination is an impediment to reuse. More
