This study was prepared for the New York State Department of State
with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund
The Borough of Manhattan/Office of the Borough President, working in partnership with state and city agencies and the community, will complete a community-based plan to improve waterfront access and increase water-based recreational opportunities in the northern part of Riverside Park between 145th and 155th Streets and from Broadway to the Hudson River. Access is currently blocked by the intervening elevated Henry Hudson Parkway and Amtrak's Empire Line right of way.
