Clarification From the Chair - General Distribution to CB9M Members
distribution to the DM and Public Members and Community Residents.

The following Chair's clarification is for administrative housekeeping purposes and for the general information of the Board Members and the residents of Planning District 9.

Since its inception a number of years ago, the 197-A Plan Committee consisted of all the Committee Chairs, (Co-Chairs and Vice Chairs included), an a small number of "core members" drawn from the Board membership and the Community.

That set-up has never been changed by any of the Board Chairs since its implementation, although seems to have been forgotten and not fully adhered this Board policy remains in effect to this day, and it means that the Committee Chairs participation and attendance is required.

Additionally the full 197-A Plan Committee is also a constituent part of the CB9M Manhattanville Rezoning Committee which also includes the full Housing, Lnad Use and Zoning Commitee and representatives of NYC Dept. of City Planning and the Community.

The "Mission Statement" of the CB9M Manhattanville Rezoning Committee will be made public within a forthnight at the next Executive Committee meeting. The purpose fo the Mission Statement is to, in simple clear language specify the purposes and goals of the CB9M Manhattanville Rezoning Committee.
